Morning walk in Ginza

Every time I visit Tokyo, I make a point to spend at least an hour walking in the morning, capturing street scenes with my camera. I only wish I had the chance to practice the same at home, though my routine doesn’t always allow it – but you never know!

This particular morning, the sky was a bright blue as I wandered through the back roads of Ginza, heading toward Tsukiji in search of coffee. The area is mostly residential, with a few commercial spots here and there, so there’s not always much to photograph – and, of course, I’m mindful of people’s privacy.

Still, I stumbled upon a building with beautiful brick textures. I couldn’t resist the chance to experiment a bit, playing with lines and perspective to create a more abstract, artistic shot. Naturally, it looked best in black and white.

I was shooting with just my 35mm lens, which limited my range, but I made the most of it, adjusting my positioning and using my feet to refine the composition.
