Rediscovering Petaling Street with My Camera

I haven’t been spending enough time with my camera lately, so I decided to take a walk through Petaling Street. This photo, shot with my rangefinder, captures the essence of the area perfectly. The “Kedai Tukang Jahit” shop, with its almost-closed metal doors, immediately caught my eye. The narrow opening gives a peek into the shop, adding a touch of mystery.

What really struck me was the play of shadows and light. The way the light falls on the doors creates a beautiful gradient, highlighting the textures and giving the photo depth. You can see a pair of legs peeking out from the narrow opening, hinting at the life inside and making you wonder about the person behind the door.

This shot is more than just a picture; it’s a reminder to find beauty in everyday scenes. Heading out with my camera and capturing this moment reminded me of the joy of photography. For any hobbyist out there, it’s a nudge to get out more, explore, and see the world through a different lens.
