Today is the first day of Chinese New Year, and the almost the end of 1st week of February. If I were to look at what I have achieved this year, I must say limited. I wished I would have done a lot more in the past 1 month. I have been inundated with a lot of work and has not been able to do much on the personal front.

Goal setting is an important element when it comes to achieving one’s vision. As for me – I struggle with what I is my vision and purpose. That is why I struggle with defining the goals that I want. While I decide on what is my purpose and vision, I will focus on the things that important to me (non-work).
As for this year, there are couple of things that I want to achieve:
- Lose weight (“Ini Kali-lah”)
- Clear up my cholesterol and uric acid
- Shoot more photos
- Travel to Europe
- More writing
A lot of my goals are not new except for the cholesterol and Europe travel.
The cholesterol and uric acid goals are new goals that I need to settle after I received my medical report last year. I was not surprised given the fact that I have ignored my health in the past 1.5 years due to work commitments. I wished I have done better, but the amount of negligence has caught up and caused me to start having health issues. I do hope to clear this up in the next six months, in addition to pushing hard to manage my work stress.

As for Europe travel, this is something new as I need to start explore places that is not Japan. Year on year, I have been going to Japan (and enjoying it). Not that I am bored of it, but there are a lot of other places that I could go. Notwithstanding, I can plan to go Japan AND Europe. Let’s see.
I have not been writing much on this blog. I’ve been busy and ignored the existence of this blog. I don’t know the readership of this blog, but as I have mentioned before, this blog is a channel for me to share my thoughts (non-work). With my not-so-new role, I’ve been so occupied with work. So much that I typically spend 14-15 hours a day at work, and the rest of the times reserved for sleep.
Anyway – I hope to post more. Let’s see how this goes!
