I guess I want to start the whole ranting shit thru this platform. All these came to mind after writing the post of the purpose of blogging. I guess I don’t have much reasons except for the fact that I wanted a platform to share shit that goes thru my mind.
Anyway today – yet again I failed to go to the gym early. I wanted to turn up in gym latest by 5.30am but ended up only coming at 6.15am. Still respectable but I need to push. The later I turn up to gym, the less time I have to workout. I need to start work latest by 8.30am so every hour count in the morning.
I had a meeting in PJ Trade Center. As I was about to leave, I realized my defender could not engage any gears. The clutch was very light and does not have any resistance at all. After trying out few times, I called Land Rover assistance and they came 30 mins later. A quick diagnosis shows that the clutch oil is empty resulting no pressure in the hydraulic mechanism. Hence why it was very light.
While waiting for the mechanic, I also called my insurance company to make sure that I have coverage in case I needed to tow the car. The problem is that due to the height, the defender could not be towed. It needs to be pulled. Anyway – after calling the insurance company they did confirmed that I do have breakdown assistance.
Back to the mechanic, as we deduced that the clutch mechanism is the problem, we drove to petronas on penchala link to buy brake oil. The brake oil is the same oil that is used in the clutch reservoir. As long as it’s dot 3. After that we came back to the car park and refill the clutch oil. No oil were seen dripping. The mechanic continued to engage the clutch repetitively to “pump” the oil thru the mechanism. Awesome. Within couple of minutes – can feel the traction and I can engage the gear. So instead of the initial intention of driving the car out of the car park, I decided to drive to Land Rover workshop as there were no visible leaks. I also carried the extra brake oil with me so that I would be able to refill in the situation where the clutch goes bonkers again.
I did manage to reach the workshop and was told my warranty already expired. I guess this is going to be a ticket item. Sigh. Let’s see la how much it will cost me.
After I finish sorting out defender, I took Uber and headed home. I ate my packed lunch which is grilled salmon. I continued work until about 7pm in which I cooked dinner. Dinner was air fried chicken. Dessert was banana and peanut butter. Yummeh!
Attended a few more calls before I called it a day. I guess the day is done and I will be heading to bed soon. What a messed up day but I guess it’s another day in life. Life goes on. If anything I did managed to get my rings to be completed and I am all good for the day.
